CHICOPEE – The Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield elected a new team of officers yesterday, April 10, during a congregational gathering at Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee.

The new team members are Sisters Elizabeth Sullivan, who will serve as president of the congregation; Patricia McDonnell, who will serve as vice president; Eileen Sullivan; and Denise Granger. The new leadership team members will begin their term in June and serve until 2027.

The new leaders will replace the outgoing team of Sisters Joan Ryzewicz, president; Angela Deady, vice president; Patricia Smith; and Shirley Anne Campbell.

“We feel very blessed, excited and hopeful as we prepare to begin our leadership term,” said Sister Elizabeth Sullivan, speaking for the incoming team. “And we will continue to respond to the Gospel message, ‘to love one another as I have loved you.’”
