Pope Francis High to host informational session for elementary school parents

CHICOPEE – Pope Francis High School, a faith-based college preparatory school serving grades nine-12, will host an informational session for elementary school parents who are considering Catholic secondary education for their children.

The event, “Planning Your Child’s Future at Pope Francis: It’s Never Too Early,” will be held Thursday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the school, located at 134 Springfield St., Chicopee.

The event is open to all elementary school parents and will include the following topics and speakers:

  • New facility – Paul C. Gagliarducci, executive director of Pope Francis High School project
  • Tuition and financial aid – Sandra Parsons, tuition and financial aid manager
  • Academics and student life – Cynthia Geiger, director of teaching and learning, and Maryann Linnehan, assistant head of school  
  • Faith formation and campus ministry – John Anziano, campus minister
  • Question-and-answer session – Parents, PFHS staff

“We have received a number of inquiries from parents of elementary school students wondering about the process of applying to Pope Francis, the information that they’ll need on hand and ways they should be planning for their child’s future education here,” said Ann Rivers, director of admissions at Pope Francis High School. “The purpose of this event is to bring them together to learn about not only the financial planning involved, but also the academics Pope Francis will offer, and the features of the new facility they’ll attend.”
