Tour of diocesan churches offered online

Staff report
SPRINGFIELD — People throughout the Springfield Diocese, and beyond, can now view the beautifully decorated churches in Ware and then head to Cheshire in seconds.
No, it is not a miracle of time travel. Rather, it is an endeavor of Springfield Bishop Mitchell T. Rozanski and the Catholic Communications ministry.
A request was sent out to all churches in the diocese to send photos of their Christmas decorations. The photos have been assembled and one can see images from a variety of churches throughout western Massachusetts.
It is amazing to note the beauty and uniqueness of each place.
Mark Dupont, director of Catholic Communications for the Diocese of Springfield, said, “This is a way in which we can share the talents and beauty found in our churches this time of year, a visual prayer honoring Christ’s birth.”
The gallery will remain up through early January and Dupont said he urges parishes who have not yet sent in a photo to do so.
