The 24th annual Eucharistic Rosary Procession to be held in Northampton

SPRINGFIELD – The 24th annual Diocesan Wide Eucharistic Rosary Procession will be held Friday, June 19 from 9-12 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Northampton. This year’s procession will celebrate the Consecration of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the 250th birthday of the United States.
Father Kingsley Ihejirika, the administrator of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, will be guest speaker. Father Kingsley directs three international organizations in Nigeria: Divine Mercy International Widows and Orphans Organization; Divine Mercy American International Academy; and Divine Mercy Medical Center. His inspiring life story and philanthropic vision are shared in his memoir, “Reawakening Hope: The Mission of a Motherless Child.”
Doors to the church will be open at 8:30 for the sacrament of Confession and at 9:00a.m., the program will begin with the talk given by Father Ihejirika entitled: “One Body, One Spirit, One Nation Under God: Broken for Others.” The Eucharistic Rosary Procession will follow, through downtown Northampton with transportation provided for those who can’t walk in procession. Upon returning to the church there will be a presentation of flowers by the children to the Blessed Mother, the singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Touching of the Garment, Adoration and Benediction.
A reception will be held on church grounds following the event.
