REGIONAL
Staff report

SPRINGFIELD — The Gray House announced the appointment of Isabella Brady-Prankus as the new executive director of the nonprofit human service agency. Brady-Prankus has been the education director at Gray House for the last three years. In her previous role, she led the Adult Education Program, which helps migrants and refugees living in Springfield improve their English language skills and gain life skills, and the Kids’ Club After School and Summer Program, which provides out-of-school time programming, literacy development, and academic support for Springfield children ages 7–12 from low-income families.

“From the moment I stepped foot in the Gray House, I felt the passion and dedication of the staff and volunteers as they further the mission of the Gray House. This organization and those involved truly embody the meaning of  ‘a place where peace is lived and learned and hope is shared’ and I am honored to continue to be a part of the team,” said Brady-Prankus.

Brady-Prankus has a background in nonprofit resource planning as the previous executive assistant at the East of the River Five Town Chamber of Commerce (East Longmeadow). Brady-Prankus is a graduate of Western New England University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

“Over the past three years, Isabella has proven herself as a key member of our Gray House team—increasing enrollment in our education programs, developing new community partnerships, and building strong relationships with our volunteers and the individuals we serve. Isabella truly embodies the spirit of the Gray House and we, as board members, are eager to support her in leading and strengthening the organization,” said Gray House board president James Montemayor.

The Gray House is a neighborhood human service agency located in the North End of Springfield. The mission is to help neighbors facing hardships to meet their immediate and transitional needs by providing food, clothing, and educational services. The Gray House is supported by the Annual Catholic Appeal.
