CHICOPEE – The College of Our Lady of the Elms has introduced “The Elms Promise,” a financial aid program which will provide full tuition coverage for students from families earning less than $85,000 annually.
“Elms College was founded to empower those students least likely to afford a top-rate college education with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to make a lasting impact in the world,” said Elms College President, Harry Dumay, Ph. D.
“The Elms Promise helps to fulfill that commitment by eliminating financial barriers for eligible families, ensuring every student has the opportunity to unlock their potential at Elms College.”
The full tuition is covered after federal, state, and institutional grants and scholarships are applied. This includes merit awards, endowed scholarships, and other forms of financial aid.
Students must apply for admission to Elms College and be accepted by May 1, 2025. They must maintain a minimum high school GPA of 3.5. They must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The cost of room and board is not covered by this program. Federal loans and external scholarships might offset the costs not covered.
This program is for first year freshman students only, and Massachusetts residents, but the eligibility is reassessed annually based on income and FAFSA submission.
Our Lady of the Elms was founded in 1928 by the Sisters of St. Joseph and offers a coed Catholic education.
