Sisters of Providence Ministry Corporation names new leader

SPRINGFIELD – The Sisters of Providence Ministry Corporation Board (SPMC) today announced the selection of Kim K. Davis as its new president and CEO.

Davis received her Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and accounting from Texas University and her Master of Science, Finance, from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Texas.  In addition, she is a certified treasury professional and certified professional controller.

With a career spanning over three decades, Davis brings vast knowledge and experience in finance, treasury and accounting, holding leadership positions at prominent financial institutions including MassMutual, Charles Schwab, and several large commercial banks. She recently served at Wilbraham & Monson Academy for 10 years as the Chief Financial Officer.

In a statement released to IObserve.org, the board stressed that her impressive career journey reflects a strong foundation in financial stewardship and strategic leadership.

Sister of Providence Kathleen Popko, SPMC Board of Directors’ Chair stated that, “Kim Davis is an accomplished executive who brings to the position rich leadership experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit arenas. Importantly, we recognized in Kim a resonance with our mission and values as well as her personal desire to serve others and her commitment to promote and sustain SPMC’s ministries that strive to bring hope and healing to those in need.”

In accepting the position, Davis reflected, “I happily and excitedly accept this offer! I am humbled by the faith that they are placing in me for this role, and look forward to leading in their mission to bring hope and healing. I am confident that working with the talented staff we will continue to develop the outreach of Sisters of Providence.”

Kim Davis lives in Longmeadow with her husband. They have two grown children.
