New diocesan  priest assignments recently announced

SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Diocese’s Office of the Chancellor has announced a number of recent and upcoming priest assignments, reassignments, and changes in status. Here is the current list:

Effective April 18:

Father Michael Bernier, formerly parochial vicar at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, West Springfield, is on a medical leave of absence.

Effective May 5:

Father Sihn Trinh, formerly parochial vicar of St. Paul Parish, Springfield, is on a leave of absence.

Effective June 1:

Father Jonathan Reardon, formerly pastor of Holy Family Parish, South Deerfield and St. Mark Mission, Conway, has been appointed pastor of Holy Name Parish, Springfield and chaplain of Pope Francis Preparatory School, while continuing as director of recruiting for the Office of Vocations.

Effective June 1-July 31:

Father Stanislaus Achu, formerly parochial vicar of Holy Name Parish, Springfield, has been appointed parochial vicar of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, West Springfield.
