SPRINGFIELD – St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 375 Island Pond Rd., here, will celebration the June 13 feast day of its patron, St. Anthony of Padua, with special Masses, exposition of its St. Anthony relic, and a procession.

St. Anthony Parish received a small, first-class relic of its patron saint from the Conventual Franciscans of Padua in September 2014 after a nine-day visit by the traveling St. Anthony relic.

An estimated 10,000 people attended Masses at the Springfield church during the 2014 nine-day event, which included special Masses in honor of Franciscans and Vietnamese and Polish heritage, as well as a special youth day. Since that time, the parish has held a novena Mass in honor of St. Anthony every Tuesday at noon.

The schedule for this year’s June 13 feast day will be:

  • 9 a.m. – Mass and Exposition of St. Anthony Relic
  • Noon – Mass
  • 6 p.m. – Procession (weather permitting)
  • 6:30 p.m. – Healing Mass with Holy Oil and St. Anthony Relic
