SPRINGFIELD — The Diocese of Springfield has announced clergy changes for two area priests.

Father Brian F. McGrath will become the new pastor of St. Mary Mother of the Church Parish in Lee on Sept. 1. The parish also includes St. Joseph Mission in Stockbridge and St. Mary of the Lakes Mission in Otis.

Father McGrath has been pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Agawam since February 2015.

Father Michael Pierz, the temporary administrator of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Belchertown, has been named the temporary administrator of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Agawam, also effective Sept. 1.
