Staff report
WATERTOWN, MASS. – On Sunday, Jan. 6, the Divine Office will premiere on the CatholicTV Network. The Divine Office, also known as the Liturgy of the Hours, will air daily with Morning Prayer at 9 a.m. and Evening Prayer at 9 p.m. ET.
The Divine Office is the daily prayer of the Catholic Church, combining Psalms, prayers, canticles, and readings. The prayers bring together the whole church and offer devoted meditations and a deeper understanding of the liturgy and the Bible.
“Morning and Evening Prayer from the Divine Office of the Church will provide an opportunity, twice each day, to offer our minds and hearts to God. CatholicTV is honored to offer the Divine Office to you as another way to nourish you and help you grow more deeply in your prayer life this coming year,” said Bishop Robert Reed, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston and president of The CatholicTV Network.
The Divine Office will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 6, at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. ET, and air daily on CatholicTV. CatholicTV is available on cable, CatholicTVLIVE.com, Roku, Amazon Fire, Samsung SmartTV, Apple TV, and both Android and iOS apps.
