Gallery: ‘Souper Bowl of Caring’ youth projects, Scouts, Catholic Schools Week

Staff report

During the Family Heritage Celebration at St. Michael’s Academy in Springfield, the Kornacki family proudly represented the country of Poland.

SPRINGFIELD – Local youths’ “Souper Bowl of Caring” projects and Catholic Schools Week celebrations made the last week a busy and special one in the Springfield Diocese.

Along with the presence of local Girl and Boy Scouts, leaders and chaplains at the taping of the “Chalice of Salvation” Mass, photos of Catholic youth and students highlight the second “This Week in the Diocese” Catholic Communications photo gallery.

The gallery can be viewed at this link:

Parishioners, pastors, staff, as well as Catholic school principals and teachers, are invited to email one to three photos of parish and school events, people, places or items of interest to Rebecca Drake, editor/news director at Parish events, prayer groups, choirs, Ash Wednesday services and Lenten missions and decorations would all be possible subjects for the weekly gallery.

At least one photo from each submission will be chosen to display in a gallery promoting weekly life in our Catholic parishes and schools. Call 413.452.0636 with any questions.
