SPRINGFIELD – The popular Singing Priests of the Diocese of Springfield will return to the stage for an Advent and Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield.

Father Matthew Alcombright is the coordinator for the annual concerts, which alternate between the Berkshires and the Greater Springfield Area. He said it is as much fun for the priests as it is for the audience.

“It is an opportunity for us to share in fraternity with one another but gather the people we minister to in a different setting,” Father Alcombright said. “These concerts allow us, as priests, to give back to our people in a unique way while also raising funds for a worthy cause within our own diocese.

“I don’t know who looks forward to the concert more, the people who attend or the priests who put it on,” said Father Alcombright, who is pastor of Mary Mother of Hope Parish in Springfield and also serves as co-director of vocations and director of Ministry With the Deaf for the Springfield Diocese.

Tickets for the holiday concert are $30 and will be available through the theater box office on Union Street or by phone at 413.236.8888 as well as online at www.barringtonstage.org.
