Local seminarian Michael Goodreau installed as acolyte

SPRINGFIELD – Wilbraham resident Michael Goodreau (left), 41, a seminarian at St. John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Mass., was installed as an acolyte at a special Mass on Wednesday, Dec. 7, the vigil of the feat of the Immaculate Conception, by Bishop James Massa, auxiliary bishop of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Goodreau, a member of Christ the King Parish in Ludlow, is one of three children of Theresa Syriac and the late Albert Goodreau. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1997 with a degree in history. He worked for F.L. Roberts and Co., Inc., for more than 15 years as a trainer and manager.
Goodreau is a first-year theology student at St. John XXIII Seminary.
